Orchestra Camp

The 2012 Encore Orchestra Camp will be held at Emory University July 8-12th, 2012. Students will live in university housing and will be supervised by professionally certified teachers as well as the Emory University campus security at all times.
There will be 3 orchestras: Presto, Allegro, and Vivace. Students will be placed in an orchestra appropriate to their level of performance based on an informal audition conducted on the first day of camp. Students should arrive at camp prepared to play a scale and ready to sight read a short piece of music.
Swimming, movie night, ice cream and pizza parties, billiards, ping pong, a dance, staff and student recitals, and time at the Emory book store and Starbucks.
The student’s tuition includes
thirteen meals in the Emory dining hall, beginning with the evening
meal on Sunday and ending with the evening meal on Thursday, four
nights lodging, rehearsal and master class instruction, supervised
recreation, pizza party, ice cream social, an ENCORE! camp t-shirt,
and more!
Camp tuition is $510.00. We offer a $15 discount on tuition for
payments made by check through the mail (total of $495). A $50.00
non-refundable deposit must accompany the registration form. You may
also pay the full tuition at the time of registration. The tuition
balance is due on or before June 1st. A $25.00 late fee will be
assessed for tuition payments made after the June 1st deadline. No
tuition refunds will be made after June 1st.
We will continue to accept registrations after June 1st if space
allows. Tuition after June 1st is $535, and we offer a $15 discount
for payments made by check through the mail (total of $520).
